Description

This piece is deeply personal, it’s a portrait of my safe space. To challenge myself, I took out my contacts and painted the scene directly from life, letting the world blur, I could no longer chase after perfect details. Instead I focused on the atmosphere, and with each stroke, I felt the expression of the room falling onto the canvas. In the end, I could see that the painting carried the same sense of warmth that this room gives me.
